In the framework of RURACT project “Revaluation of rural areas in Europe through social farming activities” respectively “Europe for Citizens” Programme, financed by the European Union  on 28 – 30 May was held in Zaragoza Spain the second event of  RURACT project. This activity was coordinated by the Regional Council Molise, lead partner of the project.

RURACT project aims to promote a common European network cooperation and development of rural areas. Solidarity, sustainability, social inclusion and diversification of business are guidelines in which social farming is starting a new rural development model.
After the project launching held in Campobasso on 10-11 March, three days activity were facused on “Social Agriculture as a tool in support of EU policies.” The works started on 28 may near Residence Pignatelli in Zaragoza and continued with a study visit to the Center for Employment of Persons with Disabilities and Lazaro FRUTAS CALATAYUD Group, with the participation of representatives from seven different European countries, including Spain, Italy, Croatia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Albania, Greece and Serbia.
During three days of Aragon, president of the Regional Council of Molise, Vincenzo Niro, explained everything that has been done so far in the Molise region on social support agriculture.
